Caribbean Jobs at Career.vi

Posted in Education, Things We Like at 5:55 am by admin

It is a portal that most job seekers and employers in Virgin Island were anticipating for long. A place in cyberspace where job seekers could hunt for their preferred jobs, and for employers, to post their requirements and yes, hunt for deserving candidates! Now, for Caribbean Jobs, you don’t have to blind search the web. Career.vi is part of leading technology, research, marketing, and training company, Bizvi .

The first and foremost thing about career.vi is that the service is free of cost. Prospective employees can prepare the resume and upload it into the website without paying a penny. What all they have to do in order to do this is to register with the website, log in using the issued username/password, and upload the resume. For employers, on the other hand, they can register with the site and then go on to post their requirements. More info about career.vi on the About Us section.

Regarding resume uploads, job seekers can either prefer to upload their own resumes or create on using the advanced resume builder feature given in the website. The Featured Employer’s section lists some of the top companies in the Caribbean, while Top Jobs section has the best jobs advertised at a given time. Below these are the recent job postings, which are frequently updated. The feature also lets job seekers to apply directly with a button press, provided they have already signed into their career.vi account.

Alternatively, job seekers could search available jobs in any of the cities in the Virgin Islands using keyword search, a feature that you could find at the top part of the website. It is advisable to use this feature if you preferred job is not listed in the home page. There is space limitation as to the number of jobs that can be listed in the home page, and your preferred job might have been pushed to one the back pages as new postings were made.

The same principle applies for employers as well, with the difference that they might be looking for prospective candidates in the website. However, in order to feature in the ‘featured employer’s’ section and ‘top jobs’ section, employers may have to pay a fixed fee monthly, since the logo placing on the site amounts to advertising as well. A Web Resource Directory With One Specific Niche?

Posted in Things We Like, Web Directories, Webmasters at 11:11 pm by admin

We have just learned that there is a new website in the Internet today. It is called DigScript.com which is a web resource directory I want to share with our viewers here. This is not one of your run-of-the-mill general type directories, but rather a specific niche directory that will be dealing with website scripts, software, and other types of webmaster type tools. They will be featuring all of the different scripts and software in their individual code niches such as ASP, JavaScript, PHP, CGI, Perl and all of the rest I’m told. This is something that I like to see so that you don’t have to look all over the Internet when you want to find something web or computer related.

The neat twist that I would like to talk about is a feature that I was talking to the owners about, which is a little bit unique. Yes, there are many chat forums and informational portals in which to get information or support for web related goodies but DigScript.com is going to be inviting actual sponsors and members of their site to participate in a special section that will be arranged at DevHunters.com which is a growing webmaster community, and members will be able to get first-hand advice and/or support for products that there are viewing in DigScript.com which I thought was pretty cool. They will be officially opening their doors on March 1, 2008 and they tell me that there are some surprises that they are not going to let loose until opening day. Until then, if you have any questions or comments related to their site you can e-mail them at support@digscript.com or you can visit their site to see how the construction is doing.

I look forward to having a good look at the site when they have officially open their doors and I definitely welcome this type of web sources directory to the Internet and I will do definitely be bookmarking this one to see how they progress. Good luck!

Times is changing but help is on the way!

There have been so many changes, updates and new introductions to code and software language in the past 12 months. The security is tightening up with additions to XHTML coating which is now widely spread and now a mixture of the new stable PHP 5 series. New software scripts are born every day and are being built constantly with the new trends such as video, music and voice and many other additions and modifications that are now possible. I will say this, I think that the software company is in website coders are finally getting a grasp on what it takes to keep the majority of the spammers and junior hackers away which is the best improvement that I have seen with all the changing that has been going in the last 6-12 months.

Internet support and finding the help you need when you are facing some of this new coding and software that is out today as became a little easier with popular webmaster forums such as DevHunters.com and Digitalpoint Forums, as well as others. These two in particular for instance, offer all of the categories and resources needed to do just about anything you would like to when it comes to web design, coding, advertising and all other aspects of what it takes to operate and maintain a website. Web forums such as these are a vital essential to have around when you helping hand her a little bit of advice, or just an opinion on the project you’re working on.

My advice is to stay on top of things, especially in the next six months as I believe that we will see many more changes and not only software, scripts and code language, but in server and Web hosting possibilities as well because after all, you need the right goodies to run all of those fancy toys such as Zend Optimizer, D Libraries and more, so I suggest that you look cool but deeper and keep your ear to the ground as things will keep changing. Please stay tuned to our site and check back frequently as we will do our best to keep you up-to-date on what’s going on.

Casinos and Stuff

Posted in Things We Like at 10:53 am by admin

I own many gaming websites for playing poker , bingo and casinos online.I am a active member of CAP and there are a nice bunch of folks there.I didt realise how difficult it is for casino websites to get advertising space on high pr websites.Even some directory owners snub us. After so much of this I decided to spend some of my money and started acquiring many high traffic and high pr websites and intentionally sold to the gaming community.
